Les Bonnes Adresses: Paris

After multiple visits to Paris, it's about time I shared my list of favourite places, les bonnes adresses de Paris.

Eat & Drink

Breizh Cafe (map)

Incredible galettes and crepes in Le Marais. It's a tiny place, so expect a long wait during mealtimes.

Bistro de l'Oulette (map)

They serve the best magret de canard I've eaten in France, and I've eaten quite a few.

Les Deux Magots (map)

The hot chocolate here is so delicious, and it's an experience to enjoy one of the oldest cafes in Paris. Yes, it's also insanely expensive.

Bistrotters (map)

Awesome bistro in Montparnasse.

La Belle Hortense (map)

Have a drink among books.

La Derniere Goutte (map)

I've visited twice to buy bottles of wine to take with me back to Singapore, and I'm never disappointed. All the staff speak English (the owner is an American lady) and give great recommendations. Just tell them what you're looking for and your budget. If you're buying to bring home on a plane, they can pack it securely for you and process the tax refund paperwork.

Fromagerie Quatrehomme (map)

They have a wide assortment of cheese, and you can ask them to vacuum pack and label your cheeses to take home on a plane. Hard cheeses travel better.

Shakespeare & Company (map)

If you love books, you can't miss this romantic maze of a bookshop. Get lost for hours among the books.

Cluny Museum (Museum of Medieval Art) (map)

An underrated and lesser known museum. It's worth visiting to view the magnificent tapestry of the Lady and the Unicorn.

Musee Carnavalet (map)

A museum about the history of Paris. Currently closed for renovation until 2020.
